Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Home Care Providers Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 in line with the UK Government’s target and the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline Year: 2024

As a recently re-established company, Homecare Providers Limited has selected 2024 as its baseline year for emissions reporting.

Emissions Breakdown (tCO₂e):

Scope 1 (Direct emissions): 0

Scope 2 (Energy indirect emissions): 2.1

Scope 3 (Upstream and downstream value chain): 6.5

Total Emissions: 8.6 tCO₂e

Current Emissions Reporting

This is Home Care Providers Limited’s first reporting year. Annual updates will be provided in line with PPN 06/21 guidance.

Emissions Reduction Targets

To achieve Net Zero by 2050, Homecare Providers Limited has adopted the following carbon reduction targets:

- Reduce total emissions by 30% by 2030 (based on 2024 baseline).

- Transition to 100% renewable electricity by 2027.

- Reduce business travel emissions by 50% by 2030.

- Embed sustainability requirements in supplier selection by 2026.

Carbon Reduction Initiatives

In order to reduce our carbon emissions, we are implementing the following measures:

- Adoption of a hybrid working policy to reduce commuting.

- Transition to cloud-based digital documentation and communication.

- Sourcing from sustainable, low-carbon suppliers where available.

- Using energy-efficient IT and office equipment.

- Conducting annual carbon audits to monitor progress.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been approved by the Director of Home Care Providers Limited and will be published on our company website.
